A pastor and trumpet player, I have had the honor of officiating, participating in or attending countless weddings over the past 33 years!  In recent years, Kim and I began thinking how incredible it would be to help couples make their special day the most memorable possible.   We want to offer unique and memorable experiences for couples and guests of all ages.  In the spring of 2021 we had the opportunity to purchase Klondyke Farm, a 32 acre pine plantation located just 3/4 of a mile off of highway 74 in Chadbourn, NC.  We began by reclaiming portions of the original fields that were home to one of the many local Strawberry Farms which ushered Chadbourn into a 100 year tradition of hosting the NC Strawberry Festival originally launched in 1926 and the historic claim to fame as holder of the title, "Strawberry Capital of the World"!  

 

As we prepare to launch Klondyke Farms Event Center in Chadbourn, NC, our Horse Trailer Coffee Bar, Klondyke Farms Cafe, is one more step toward seeing this dream realized. We began with a 3 stall horse trailer and renovated it from the ground up over the summer and early fall of 2025, transforming it into a fully functional and aesthetically pleasing home to our full service mobile coffee shop.  We love catering weddings, but we also serve churches, corporate events and private parties.  Enjoy a few photos from the farm below.  We are currently producing Gala and McIntosh Apples, reclaimed, wild Muscadine and Scuppernong Grapes from which we cook Muscadine Grape Jelly, and of course my personal tribute to my bride of 33 years - Kim's 1/2 acre field of sunflowers!
